The Organising Committee of the 70th Annual National Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association – IOACON 2025, held from 15th to 20th December 2025 at Sarusajai Sports Complex, Guwahati, demonstrated a strong commitment towards social responsibility by presenting a cheque of INR 15,00,000 to the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Government of Assam. The cheque was respectfully presented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, whose visionary leadership and continuous efforts towards the development of Assam continue to inspire millions.
This noble initiative reflects the true spirit of the medical community, serving society beyond healthcare and standing together for humanity and public welfare. It is also a moment of immense pride for CORAS Hospital as its Director, Dr. Diganta A. Phukan, successfully led IOACON 2025 as the Organising Chairperson with dedication, vision, and a deep sense of social commitment.
The contribution and leadership of Dr. Chinmoy Das, Organising Secretary – IOACON 2025, and Dr Rajamoni Das, Organising Advisor – IOACON 2025, were equally instrumental in making this prestigious national conference and its social initiatives meaningful and impactful.
